Last weekend, the Scottish Masters Championships took place at Grangemouth and, once again, it was a hugely successful competition for PH Racing Club with a total of eight medals won by our four participants.

Mary Western took on the 100m and broke her own club record to win V60 gold in 16.48. She then followed this up with a second gold medal, and another club record, in the 400m with a time of 77.11.

Alistair Radbourne also competed in the 100m where he broke his own club record by one hundredth of a second, clocking 13.34 to win a V60 silver medal. In the longer 200m sprint he won a second silver medal for his run of 27.63.

Roger Clark (pictured) also ran two events and took home V55 gold medals for each. In the 800m he timed at 2:19:29 before a run of 59.35 in the 400m.

Malcolm Hammond also took part in the 800m where he broke the long standing championship best to win a V75 gold in 2:53.12. He then completed a middle distance double with another championship record of 5:59.39 in the 1500m.

Well done to all and thanks to Scottish Athletics for putting on the event.
