QA 5k offers a simple, no nonsense racing experience to competitive runners looking for fast times and quality racing. The race will be held under UK Athletics Rules and is a scottishathletics Licensed Event.

The race format shall see multiple races around the lapped race route. The route is proven to be very fast and saw a lot of new personal bests set here in the inaugural event in 2021.

Minimum cash prizes of £100 shall be awarded to first male and female, £60 to second male and female and finally £30 to third male and female. In the unlikely event that there are faster times in Race 1 than Race 2 when it comes to prizes, prizes will be given based on time.

Additional cash prizes of £50 shall be given for new course records for male (currently 14:55) and female (currently 17:20).

The measured route is flat and fast, it comprises of just over 7 clockwise laps with no sharp bends.
