Congratulations to Stuart Meiklejohn, to whom PH Racing Club Members have awarded Run of the Month for his personal best effort at September’s Loch Ness Marathon. His time of 2:53:50 bettered his first sub-3 achieved last year in Frankfurt.

As usual, we had a number of other very worthy nominees, most of which have already been mentioned in previous reports. Both Andrew Wright and Malcolm Hammond were nominated for their British Masters gold medal winning runs at the Dumfries Half Marathon. Andrew won V50 gold for his run of 1:16:49, just ahead of team mate Andy Davis. Malcolm won V75 gold, timing at 1:41:56. The trio were also nominated for their team effort which won British Masters silver.

Neil McLure received a spot on the ballot for his running at the European Off Road Running Championship in Transylvania, Romania. Well done to Andrew McQueen whose personal best time of 39:20 in poor conditions and on a tough course at the Linlithgow 10k earned him a nomination. Finally, Mary Western was selected for her performance at the British Masters Championship 800m where she won V60 bronze medal

Well done again to all, and especially to Stuart who has earned a spot on the annual vote. We look forward to seeing who will be nominated for October as we have already had a number of excellent runs.
