Congratulations to PH Racing Club’s Malcolm Hammond who has secured a place in the Scotland team for the British and Irish Masters XC to be held in Dublin later in the year.

The Scottish Veteran Harriers Trial Race took place last weekend at Tollcross Park, Glasgow with a 6k race for women and men 65+, followed by an 8k event for the younger men. Malcolm completed the 6k course in 27:53 to finish 2nd V75. With the top three in each age category selected, this guarantees his place on the team.

This will be Malcolm’s second time competing for his adopted nation, having run at the same event in Leeds last year. As ever it’s fantastic to see our members receive international recognition. Thanks to Pete Bracegirdle for the excellent race photos.
