PH Racing Club athletes won a number prizes at Sunday’s Donkey Brae Race. This scenic race is of mixed terrain over undulating coastal paths with the notorious Donkey Brae climb towards the finish. The main event is the 7 Mile Race which runs between Aberdour and Dalgety Bay and this year Stuart Tite was the first PH finisher in 44:15 clinching 5th place.
Next PH member home was in-form John Crookston, 15th overall and 2nd V60 in 46:51. Alan Cockburn also took home a second place trophy, for the V50 category, thanks to his excellent run of 47:18. Scott Blyth and Niall Balloch weren’t far behind in 48:18 and 48:37 respectively.
In the ladies race Mary Western finished as 1st V50 and 6th female overall in 49:50 to add to her own growing collection of prizes. Robyn Morrocco was the other PH representative, finishing 8th in 52:58.
In the 2 Mile Race, PH junior member Aaron Bennet finished 21st overall in a time of 16:26.
