Last Friday night was the latest instalment of the Beveridge Park 5k series with a high quality field lead home by Morgan Mitchell of Fife AC.  Darren Jubb was first PH athlete home finishing 5th overall in a time of 16:44.  PH also did well in the male vet categories with Iain Taylor taking the M50 title in 18.33 and John Crookston winning his second M60 race of the week.

The annual Dollar Hill Race took place on Saturday afternoon with two PH Racing Club athletes amongst the field of 62 runners taking part.  The 15 km course which starts and finishes in the grounds of Dollar Academy features almost 1000 metres of climbing.  Peter Simpson enjoyed a strong race placing 14th overall in 1.41.36 while Ewan Taylor finished 20th in 1.45.21.

Jason Buttery took part in Sunday’s Great North 10k in Gateshead placing in the top 100 of the huge field with a time close to his personal best.

Last but not least, also on Sunday the popular Creiff 10k took place with Jonathan Peebles the sole PH representative among the 250-strong field.  Jonathan placed 6th in a strong time of 37.49 over the tough course.
