PH Racing Club athletes Daniel Monaghan and Wright Beveridge took to the streets of Berlin on Sunday to compete in one of Europe’s biggest Half Marathons. This year’s event saw over 36,000 competitors descend on the German capital for a race won by Erick Kiptanui of Kenya in 58.42, the joint fourth fastest time ever.
Monaghan was the first PH member, and second UK athlete, home in a superb new personal best time of 79.52 which was well deserved after his dedicated winter training and excellent cross country season.
Beveridge was not far behind, also setting a new best time of 81.20, and placing 7th in the V45 category. Next stop for Wright is the London Marathon next Sunday where he is hoping to perform even better than last year when he hit his target of dipping below the three hour mark.
All at PH would like to congratulate Dan and Wright on their runs and to wish Wright and all other members heading to London the best of luck.
