Racing Club’s James Traynor was in top form at Saturday’s Glasgow to Edinburgh Double Marathon winning the 54 mile race in an outstanding 7 hours 8 mins.

The gruelling ultra race saw a field of over 100 ultra runners run along the banks of the Forth & Clyde canal and then the Union Canal from Scotland’s largest city to its capital. Traynor who has been consistent with his high mileage weeks forged ahead early on, maintaining a strong pace throughout en route to his magnificent win.
