It is now less than two months till the 2019 Tilli 10k, organised by PH Racing Club, and so far over 300 entries have been received with places still available on EntryCentral.  Entries are coming in thick and fast now so best be quick to avoid disappointment.

This year’s total prize fund is over £1500 with cash prizes awarded for first three male and female, as well as first in each five year age category.  There will also be other prizes for second and third in each age group.

The winners of the male and female races will each receive £120 with a £50 bonus if the course record is broken.  The course records from the inaugural event in 2018 stand at 30:44 by Robbie Simpson and 37:50 by Fiona Matheson.

Central AC’s Alastair Hay ran close to 30 minutes recently at the Stirling 10k so should fancy his chances.  Also in the line up are the fourth, fifth and sixth place finishers from last year’s event: James Callender of Westerlands Cross Country Club; Fife AC’s Alistair Gudgin; and Chris Poxton from Corstorphine AAC. Carnethy HRC’s John Hammond is also capable of fast times over the distance.

In the female race, last year’s winner, and course record holder, Fiona Matheson is on the entry list along with third place finisher, PH’s own Kristin Lownie.  Metro Aberdeen pair Nicola Gauld and Claire Bruce will certainly have their eyes on the course record as will Fife AC’s Annabel Simpson.

We are looking forward to an excellent race so, whatever your target, get your entry in now at!
