Racing Club’s junior athlete Andrew Thomson continued his excellent form leading home a field of 73 runners at the West Lothian 7km race in Bathgate on Sunday morning. Andrew clocked an impressive 26.15 while club mate Bryan Innes also made the podium, placing 3rd overall in 26.48.

Closer to home, Pitreavie AAC hosted the popular Forth Bridge 10K on Sunday morning. As the race sold out online in only 8 minutes it resulted in a much smaller PH representation this year with only 10 members managing to secure an entry. Conditions proved exceptionally challenging for the 400 participants with a tough southerly wind slowing the times.
Rab Sellar ran a strong race finishing 4th overall and leading Male 40 in 36.21 with Graeme Doig two places behind occupying 6th place (2nd Male 40) in 37.13. John Crookston put in another sterling performance crossing the line in 40.00 placing 15th overall and 1st Male 60 while Martin McNellis was 17th overall (2nd Male 50) in 40.29. Michael Lindsay enjoyed a great race clocking 40.37 in 18th place. Ian Johnston finished 2nd Male 60 in 44.03. Well done to Pitreavie AAC on organising the event and to Graeme Baxter for the superb race photos.
