In winning today’s Errol 6k, Andrew Thomson took PH Racing Club’s third race win in a matter of days. Junior member Andrew timed at 24:22, almost a minute ahead of second placed Duncan Edward of Dundee Road Runners. Andrew is going from strength to strength in his running as well as playing ice hockey for Scotland.

The run of victories was kicked off on Thursday night by Michael McConnell, who was first over the line at Kinnoull Hill Race in Perth.  This annual race takes place over a 6.4k course with 250m of climbing and Michael finished in a time of 26:57.

Also taking first place was Jonathan Peebles who clocked 34:36 at Saturday’s Monifieth 10k. Excellent though it was it wasn’t the fastest over the distance this weekend, that honour going to Paul Kieran. He took 10th place at today’s Down by the River 10k at Cambuslang, setting a new V40 club record of 34:25 in the process.  He was followed home by Daniel Monaghan (36:01) and Martin McNellis who finished as 2nd V50 in 39:22. In the 3k junior race Aaron Bennet was the sole PH competitor, finishing in 12:14.

Well done to all and thanks to the respective race organisers for putting on the events.
