Sunday was certainly the biggest day on the UK marathon calendar with both the London and Stirling Marathons taking place and PH were well represented at both.

The earlier start was in Stirling where the race incorporated the Scottish Marathon Championship with Mike McConnell the sole PH athlete taking part.  He put in a fantastic effort to finish the race in 7th place in a time of 2:46:14.

After that attention turned to London where there was PH contingent of four.  Graeme Doig was first home in a new club V40 record time of 2:45:41 and Wright Beveridge was the other male finishing in 3:06:58.

Mary Western was the faster of the two PH females with a time of 3:34:42. Zoe Stuart was not far behind, also setting a club record of 3:37:18 for the V40 category and in the process raising over £2000 for Stickler Syndrome UK.

Last but not least Martin McNellis was in action at the Isle of Arran Ormidale 10k in Brodick where he finished in 8th position and 1st V50 in a time of 38:33.

Well done to all on a fantastic weekend’s running for the club and thanks to Bobby Gavin/That One Moment for the superb photo of Mike McConnell.
