Sunday saw a great turnout of PH Racing Club members to compete at the Giffordtown 5k, held by Fife AC.
Record numbers toed the line at 11am to take on the wind over a flat out and back course. Paul Kieran was first PHer home, finishing in an impressive 8th position in a superb time of 16:42. Kieran battled throughout with Jonny Peebles who set a new personal best time of 16:52 to come home in 12th place.
Robyn Morrocco continued her impressive run of form since joining PH to set another huge new personal best, finishing 6th female overall in a time of 20:06.
There were strong runs for Dan Monaghan and Aaron Bennet, who set new personal bests of 17:10 and 21:31 respectively. Alan Cockburn completed the course in 19:20, Allen Marr continued his return from injury to set a season’s best of 20:04 and Ed Norton enjoyed a solid run to finish in 20:49.

Further afield, Anne Hartmann ran a superb 3:07:22 at the RheinEnergieMarathon Cologne (Koln) to finish 17th women overall. Anne is pictured here with fellow PH member Luke Peel who competed for his English club Fulham Running Club.
Finally, at the Linlithgow 10k, Ian Johnston finished as first V60 in a time of 42:01. This was good enough for 67th position in a field of almost 800.
