PH Racing athletes Wille Rennie and Andrew Wright were both in action on the trails over the weekend and there was success for both.
Donning his PH vest for the first time on Saturday, Rennie took on the 37 mile Speyside Way Ultra Marathon from Cragganmore Distillery, Ballindalloch to Buckie town centre. He crossed the line in an excellent time of 4:38:21 to take third place overall and first male over 50. David McLure of Kilmarnock Harriers took first place in the race.
On Sunday two PH members ran the Wee County Harriers organised Cambus Quarter race in Clackmannanshire. The race took place over a 6.5 mile course on both road and trail and Andrew Wright claimed the victory in an impressive time of 36:41 to also set a new course record. Graham McInnes was the other participant from PH, placing eighth in 43:43.
Jonathan Peebles was also racing on Sunday, at the Perth 10k, where he also finished on the podium with a third place time of 35:25, thirty seconds behind race winner David McNamara of Portobello Running Club.
Well done to all on a great weekend’s running and thanks to the race organisers for putting on the events.
