On Saturday twelve PH Racing members made the trip across the water for the annual Musselburgh 10k,. This multi terrain race follows part of the John Muir Way and incorporated the 8th counter in the PH Racing Club Championship. The race was won in an impressive 31.46 by Jacob Adkin of Edinburgh University Hare and Hounds.

PH Racing Club’s Jonathan Peebles continued his recent form, placing 10th overall, covering the course in 34.48.  With previous leader Darren Jubb absent, Robert Sellar took the opportunity to take the lead in the Club Championship with a 12th place finish in 35.27.  Not far behind was Dan Monaghan who posted a new personal best time of 35.41 in 14th place.

In the women’s race Kristin Lownie also bettered her personal best with a time of 39.14 to secure yet another podium finish as 2nd female and Mary Western won the V50 prize finishing as 4th female overall in 41.49.

Other notable performances came from John Cassells, John Crookston, Jason Buttery and Niall Balloch who all set new 10k personal bests with Crookston also lowering his own V60 club record to a new mark of 39.51.
