14 PH Racing Club members were among the 1000 runners taking part in the annual Black Rock ‘5’ in Kinghorn on Friday evening. As always, the iconic race attracted a high class field of athletes with several of our runners putting in excellent performances.

Top performer for PH was Daniel Monaghan, 22nd in a time of 26.03.  Next back to the finish was Wright Beveridge, timing at 27.54 in 51st, followed by Stuart Tite, placing 67th, though in a quicker chip time of 27.38.

Once again the V60 category proved to be an excellent one for PH with Ian Stewart placing 2nd in 29.03, John Crookston 3rd in 29.08 and Ian Johnston 5th in 31.21.  Alan Cockburn also ran well to finish 6th in the V50 category in time of 28.51.

Graham McInnes, Jonathan Campbell, Niall Balloch and Scott Blyth all enjoyed runs around the half hour mark, while Dave Milroy and Paul Dunning made their first appearances in PH colours for some time.

Well done to all and thanks to Allen Marr for the photos from the Black Rock.
