After months of hard work behind the scenes, Lochore Meadows parkrun got off to a excellent start with 344 finishers at yesterday’s inaugural event.  Seventeen PH Racing Club members turned out on what was another glorious morning weather-wise, and they were treated to a well organised event on a tremendous course.

Setting the course record, for the first week at least, was local boy Jonathan Peebles, who crossed the line in 17.22.  Not far behind, in second position, was PH’s Dan Monaghan in a fine time of 17.41.  PH Racing Club occupied a further four places in the top ten with Scott Love 6th (18.46), Andy Jannetta 7th (18.53), Philip Waring 8th (18.54) and Wright Beveridge in 10th.

New junior member Aaron Bennet finished 1st in the male 11-14 category while Ian Johnston finished 1st over 60 and Ed Norton 1st over 65.  1st female for PH was Jennifer Caldwell who recorded her quickest time of the year.
