PH Racing Club’s Darren Jubb and Colin Somerville continued their PH club championship battle at the Stirling 10k yesterday.

This popular race incorporates the Scottish National 10K Championships and Darren covered the 6.2 mile course in a new personal best time of 34.19 to close the gap on Colin to a single point with two races left.

Colin also raced well, setting a new personal best mark of 34.25, with Robert Sellar the next PH athlete to finish in 35.09. Jonny Peebles was not far behind in 35.50.

First female for PH in 40.13 was Mary Western, who finished as second V50 behind Falkirk Victoria’s multiple record holder Fiona Matheson, and she was followed by Natalie Gilliland-Patterson and Lorraine Abbot.

V60s Ian Johnston and Ed Norton enjoyed a tussle throughout with Ian coming out on top in the race for the line.
