While a number of his club mates were competing in the Tom Scott 10 Mile Race, and following on from last week’s first place at the Run Garioch Half Marathon, Roger Clark was on his way to another win, this time at the Tay Ten in Perth.

Roger was first over the line in a time of 58.48 almost half a minute ahead of second placed Alistair Gudgin of Perth Road Runners.  Cameron Warner (unattached) completed the top three.

Anne Hartmann was third female with a time of 1.06.36, just ahead of PH’s Johnny Campbell who also set a new personal best in 1.06.39 in 18th position.  Anne was within a minute of the top places which were taken by Dundee Road Runners duo Morgan Windram-Geddes and Michelle Mackay.  The PH contingent was completed by Lorraine Abbot, setting a new V50 mark for the club.

Further afield, at the Berlin Half Marathon, Johnny Cassells had an excellent run with another PB in a time of 1:22:30.  He was followed home by fellow Racing Club members Suzanne Goodall and Rachel Drummond, with Suzy improving the club’s V40 record to 1.35.23 and finishing just a few seconds ahead of Rachel.

Finally, at the Greater Manchester Marathon, Jason Buttery showed the benefits of his consistent training with PH Racing Club posting a 30 minute PB of 3:53:59.

Well done to all on a terrific weekend’s racing and thanks as ever to Gordon Donnachie for the race photograph.
