PH Racing Club member Colin Somerville (main picture) ran an excellent race to finish in 4th position at the Monklands Half Marathon in a new personal best of 1.18.42 taking over 3 minutes off his previous best.

On Saturday, Kinross Road Runners held the annual Loch Leven Half Marathon where the first Racing Club member home was Stuart Mackay, finishing 9th overall in 1.21.10, followed by Jonathan Peebles in 1.26.36. Mary Western was in great form placing 4th female overall and taking 1st place in the FV50 category, followed by Mark Western and Mark Mackenzie. Rachel Drummond and Andy Baxter made their PH debuts both posting strong runs to remove two minutes from their personal bests.

There was also success at Kirkcaldy parkrun where Karen Kennedy finished 1st lady in a excellent time of 19.27, Russell Baillie set a new personal best at Perth parkrun in 19.51 while fast improving Lorraine Abbot took over 2 minutes off her previous best at the Penicuik 10k
