We have already covered all the prize winners at this year’s Tilli 10k? But what about the PH athletes who took part on the day, many of whom also volunteered before and after?
Last year Luke McNeil and Gayle Lindsay were the fastest PH male and female, and it was the same outcome again. This year, however, it was Luke’s turn to take the club 10k record, meaning both the male and female records have now been set at our own race, ironically organised by the previous record-holder, Andrew Wright.

Luke has run a lot of 10k races this year so it was fantastic to see him break the four year old record by a huge 44 seconds. His time of 31:56 placed him 18th overall in what was a very high class field and we have no doubt there is more to come from our new Club Champion.
Next home for PH was Ewan Taylor who finished just outside the podium places in the V45 category, timing at 34:26. As mentioned, Gayle Lindsay was once again the leading PH female and she placed 23rd female in 38:06.

Julie Menzies was our only prize winner on the day, finishing 3rd V50 in 39:45, her chip time a second slower than Andy Jannetta but placed ahead of him in the race due to faster gun time. Well done to Julie on yet another prize.

Katrina Lindsay was just over the 40 minute mark, finishing in 40:04 and Kieran Park was a further 50 seconds back. Ian Stewart was also 4th placed in his age category, V65, finishing in 41:29.

It was great to see Mary Western back racing for the club and she was one of the leading V60s, timing at 48:57. Clare Graham and Lauren Bennet completed the PH contingent in 50:19 and 51:59 respectively.

Well done to all who took part and thanks again to race director Andrew Wright and all the volunteers across various roles. Feedback on the race has been universally positive and this is down to the hard work put into the organisation and operation on the day.

Thanks also to Gordon Donnachie and David McNulty for the various photographs used here.
