We are happy to report that PH Racing Club’s John Hammond has been selected for the Scotland team for the forthcoming Anglo Celtic Plate event in Perth on Sunday 3rd April.

The 100k race will take place at the North Inch Park over a 2.381k loop, which has been used for previous editions and usually produces fast times. The event will include the Scottish 100k Championship, with the British Championship also likely to be incorporated. There is also a 50k race which includes the Scottish 50k Championship and open events over both distances.

John, who is a past winner of the Highland Fling 53 mile ultra and twice winner of Devil O’ The Highlands 42 mile race, has recently moved to Dunfermline and has joined dad Malcolm and brother Paul at PH Racing Club. He made his debut in a PH vest in our own Tilli 10k race at the end of December where he was the first club member over the line in 34:34.

Congratulations to John and the other 8 athletes selected to represent Scotland in Perth.
