The Fife AC Kirkcaldy Wizards summer series drew to a close with last night’s 2 x 1 mile relay at Ravenscraig Park and two PH teams were among the prizes.

PH junior athlete Andrew Thomson posted the fastest time of the first leg runners (4:51) and handed over to Robert Sellar in first position ahead of Fife AC’s Kenny Gorman.  Ryan Lafferty ran a strong second leg for Fife to overhaul Sellar and win the race overall. Thomson and Sellar finished second but won the adult and junior category with a combined time of 9:52.

Another two of our young athletes combined to take the male junior prize with a good time of 11:27.  Aaron Bennet took on the first leg and handed over to John Macdonald who was making his debut in a PH vest.  Well done to JM on a good first race for PH.

Jamie Lessels, partnered by Dave Clark of FTR, also ran a sub 5 minute mile on the first leg to help his team to third place overall.  There were various other combinations of junior members’ parents while Graham McInnes teamed up with his own son Jack to run a very respectable 12:44.

Thanks to Fife AC Kirkcaldy Wizards for organising the summer series which will hopefully be back next year.
