The main event of the weekend was undoubtedly the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow and there were some great performances by PH athletes in what doubled as the Scottish Half Marathon Championships as well as the penultimate race in PH’s own club championship.

Kristin Lownie knocked over 3 minutes off the PH women’s club record with a superb new personal best time of 1:22:33 to finish in 15th place and 9th of those eligible for the Scottish Championship.

Also setting a tremendous new club record was in-form John Crookston who finished as 1st V60 in 1:25:01.

Johnny Cassells came out top in the battle of the V40s in new best of 1:21:23, only 19 seconds ahead of Wright Beveridge, while Niall Balloch was satisfied with a unexpected personal best.
