There can be no debate that the biggest event on the running calendar this week was the London Marathon and six PH athletes were among the 40,000-strong field this morning.

First Racing Club member to finish, in an excellent 2.46.22, was Graeme Doig, running in memory of his dad for Prostate Cancer UK.  Graeme is once again doing the London/Edinburgh Marathon double for this cause and can be sponsored here.  He had a perfectly executed run completing the first half in 1:23:09 and his second half in 1:23:13.

Next up was Wright Beveridge who has been training hard towards his sub-3 target and can therefore be very proud of his new personal best time of 2.59.44, 13 minutes quicker than his previous mark.

First PH female was Rachel Drummond, crossing the line in 3.35 exactly with teammate Jonny Peebles finishing right on 3 hours.  Other Racing Club members to complete the course were Mikey Combe and Lorraine Abbot.

Meanwhile, closer to home at the Great Edinburgh Run 10 Mile starting and finishing in Holyrood Park, Wallace Mitchell ran a good race on the way to a new personal best time of 1.03.28.

Well done to all the runners who took part in both races.
