There was further success today for Michael Combe, representing the Scots Dragoon Guards, at the Abington Marathon in Oxfordshire.  Michael’s time of 2 hours 54 was enough to claim 4th place in the Army Marathon Championships held over the course.

Ed Norton and Jason Buttery (pictured above) travelled even further south to take part in the Great South Run 10 Mile race in Portsmouth, with both claiming new PH Racing Club age category records.  Ed bettered his own PH over 50s record, setting a new mark of 1.09.55, while finishing 2nd in the V65 category.  Meanwhile Jason set a new benchmark for PH over 40s with a PB time of 1.12.25.

There was the usual Saturday morning parkrun activity with highlights this week being a 1st place for Wright Beveridge in 18:58 at Dunfermline and Graeme Doig securing 5th place at Cramond in 17.30.  There was also a new PB for Natalie Brown at Kirkcaldy, with by all accounts a lot more to come once she learns to tie her laces securely!

Thanks to Andy Brown for the picture of Dunfermline parkrun showing Darren Neilson finishing just ahead of Ian Johnston, just two of the large number of PH representatives there yesterday.
