Racing Club’s Marty Davidson was in action on Saturday where he contested the annual Ben Nevis Hill Race from Fort William covering the 4406 feet ascent and descent of the mountain in 2.16.41.

Michael Combe placed 3rd overall at Highland Perthshire Half Marathon covering the 13.1 mile course in 1.19.40 while Rachel Drummond placed 3rd lady at Sunday’s Dirleton 10K in 43.45.

Several PH members took the opportunity to test their form at the weekly parkrun events with several quick times recorded. Karen Kennedy showed the benefits of her recent training with the club recording her fastest 5k at Falkirk finishing 2nd lady in 19.37. Jonathan Peebles ran the 6th fastest time ever on the Dunfermline parkrun course timing at 17.41 with the first four places being filled by PH athletes. Ben Hukins clocked 16.18 crossing the line first at the Kirkcaldy parkrun.

The club now turn their attention to the Stuart Duncan 5k Race this Tuesday evening in Glenrothes with twenty two members set to toe the line.
