PH Racing Club members were in action on Sunday morning at their club member only trail race in Devilla Forest near Kincardine. The 32 members taking part were met with a very testing 10K course with many undulations and muddy sections around the route.
Ben Hukins found the terrain to his liking breaking clear from the leading pack after 6km to win the race in 37.47. Andrew Smith produced a strong run sprinting clear in the final 400m taking 2nd place in 38.32 with Jonathan Peebles a close 3rd in 38.33. Martin McNellis took the M50 award crossing the line in 41.27 just head of the leading M40, Dennis Howett who clocked a time of 41.49.
Alison Whyte was in good form to win the ladies race in 50.54 with Mary Western finishing 2nd in 51.07 and Zoe Stuart, 3rd in 52.15 Lorraine Abbot won the F50 award in 65.05
Very well done to all PH members who took part and special thanks to race organiser Stuart Mackay along with Allan Macaulay, Val Macaulay, Calum Vallance, Wallace Mitchell, Natalie Brown and Samantha Mackay who all provided valuable assistance on the day.
