PH Racing Club

Fife-based performance running club

PH parkrun Competition

The events for this have been changed up for 2025.

To complete it and be eligible for a prize you need to run each of the following parkrun events during the year (to 29th November):

  • Dunfermline
  • Kirkcaldy
  • Lochore Meadows
  • Perth
  • Auldcathie (Winchburgh)
  • Edinburgh (Cramond)

There will be 3 prizes awarded:

  • Male winner – based on total time for best runs at each of the 6 events
  • Female winner – based on total time for best runs at each of the 6 events
  • Age grade winner – based on average age grade for best runs at each of the 6 events

For example, if you take exactly 20 minutes for all 6 then your overall time will be exactly 2 hours.

The age grade winner will be the member with the best average age grade score, male or female, who has not won the main male or female prize. For example, if your age graded scores are 68%, 69%, 70%, 71%, 72% and 73%, your overall score would be 70.5%. If this doesn’t make sense please ask one of the many maths teachers in the club.

The runs must be completed between 1st January and 29th November (so we have time to sort prizes before awards night). You can have as many attempts at each as you wish, but remember not to tire yourself out too much for other important races!

All you have to do to be counted for this is make sure your club is down as PH Racing Club on the parkrun website. Results will be picked up weekly using the club report link which is also in the bulletin each week. Age gradings can then be picked up from the relevant event results.
