Congratulations to Kristin Lownie, whose winning run at the Kirkcaldy Parks Half Marathon, on the final day of the month, has been voted Run of the Month for August by PH Racing Club members.

Kristin’s time of 1:28:41 placed her first female in this big local race and actually gave her her third nomination of the month, having already been put forward for placing first female at the Graham Clark Memorial Race, and also for her earlier run at the Ceres 8. It was certainly a very successful month for Kristin, who also secured the PH Racing Club Championship with a perfect score of 400 from eight counting races.

Other nominations for the August award included Clare Graham, who was selected for her first V55 finish at the Round The Houses 10k. Luke McNeil was once again nominated, this time for his 4th place finish at the Graham Clark race at Knockhill, where he timed at 19:45. Peter Gibson was also on the vote for his top 10 run of 20:53 at the same event. July’s Run of the Month winner, Dan Monaghan, was again nominated, this time for his time of 46:57 at the Ceres 8 which Dan himself felt was an even stronger run than July’s Brig Bash. Ben Hukins was the final name on the list for his V40 category win, also at Ceres 8.
