PH Racing Club’s Kristin Lownie continued her excellent form by finishing first female at last weekend’s Kirkcaldy Parks Half Marathon, which started and finished at Beveridge Park. Kristin followed up her recent win in the Graham Clark Memorial Race at Knockhill with a winning time of 1:28:41 for the hilly half marathon.
Mark Webster continued his return to fitness with a solid run of 1:31:19 on a very windy day, while Derek Cosgrove completed his 13.1 miles in 1:43:37.

Meanwhile, a number of other PH athletes were taking part in the Round the Houses 10k in Grangemouth, which once again incorporated the East District Championships. Luke McNeil finished 12th overall with a great time of 34:08 to earn another 50 club championship points. Stuart Meiklejohn was next home in 38:31, followed by reigning club champ Aaron Bennet.
Sarah Paterson was first PH female in a time of 43:53. Ed Norton won another V70 title in a time of 46:10 and Clare Graham ran a 51:30, claiming 1st V55 at this big event.
In Knockando, Ewan Taylor finished 3rd in the Speyside Trail Half Marathon, moving him into top position in the Speyside Series after three events. The final event is a 10k in October.
Well done to all and thanks to the various race organisers. Thanks also to Scott Louden/Fife Today for the race photos.
