The Crieff 10k trail race took place on Sunday, and this year also incorporated the Scottish Athletics Mid-Trail Championships.
Three PH athletes took part in this hilly race, with Andrew Wright collecting a V50 gold medal for his run of 38:47 in 22nd place overall. Also well done to Mark Western who finished 7th in the V60 category in 46:42, just ahead of Katrina Lindsay who was 16th female overall in 47:48.

During the week, Ewan Taylor was back in action at the Dufftown 5 Miles/5 Hills race, one of three events in the Speyside series organised by Moray Road Runners. Ewan finished 3rd overall in 30:59, just behind the host club’s Ryan Slessor, the race being won by Alistair Gudgin of Fife AC.

Geordie racer Dan Monaghan headed south for Thursday’s Northern Counties 5k Championships, hosted by Sunderland Harriers. Dan braved the extreme heat, a hillier than usual alternative course, and having to go to Sunderland, to finish 49th in an excellent time of 16:50.
Well done to all and thanks to Adrian Stott, Gordon Donnachie and Ryan Slessor for the various photos.
